JUST/US

The ReBrandable Archive of Power

Allen Redwing — ReBrandable Collection, 2026 · 19 works · 8 × 11.5 in

JUST/US appropriates the command language of global advertising to examine scandals, contradictions and institutional failures across art, politics, celebrity and commerce. Each work converts a documented event into a fictional campaign whose slogan articulates the system's unspoken instruction: sell it again, sign it, blame her, brush it off, borrow it indefinitely.

Redwing calls the process ReBranding — the extraction of visual authority from commercial culture and its redeployment as critical evidence. The works do not advertise products. They advertise the mechanisms through which value, innocence, authorship, consent and legitimacy are manufactured.

“If branding can make anything desirable, ReBranding can make its underlying power visible.”
